Wichita’s Premier Coding School

Who We Are

Wichita Coding Academy is an independent, premier code studio located at the Air Capital (Wichita, Kansas), founded and led by a veteran Computer Science professor. Developing and utilizing our own independent CS curriculum, we offer tailored coding classes that bring true computational thinking to learners for long-term success.

Most coding programs teach students what to type, treating programming like a series of vocabulary flashcards. When the syntax changes or the problems get complex, the rote memorization fails. At Wichita Coding Academy, we do things differently. We teach the underlying structural design, logic, and hardware mechanics that turn students into elite problem solvers.

Know How and Know Why

We pioneer a Glass Box methodology:

• Visualizing Execution: Students learn to track how variables, pointers, and objects interact within computer memory using explicit, visual state machines.

• From Abstract to Structural: We translate dry, complex theories into tactile, predictable mental models.

• Engineering-Grade Debugging: We don't just teach students how to write code; we teach them how to read, critique, audit, and systematically debug it like a seasoned engineer.
